ok so I know this is gonna be hard, but I thought it was right to start a blog. I'm a thinker, not a deep thinker, just a normal thinker like anyone else. I'm not a big talker, I'm not even super social so I figured I should try and work on this blogging thing. Besides its the beginning of a new year and a new 'good' habit might not be so bad.
I guess I should start by telling a little about myself. I'm a very young mom of 3. My kids are 2 sons, 19 and 12, and a daughter who is 5. I homeschool all of them and love being with them all the time. I've known my husband since I was 14 and we finally got married when we were 21. We live in a cute little house in Georgia and we only live a mile away from his family. My family lives in Michigan and get to see them only about once a year.
I got to thinking about the big question everyone has "Whats the meaning of life?" or "What is the meaning of my life?" Lemme break this down for you in my thought process: Life, according to the dictionary is a noun or an adjective. A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea and adjective is a word that describes something. So if we translate the word literally in noun or adjective form we know that the word life doesn't really do much. So lets change the word life into love, ahh, now there's a word. The dictionary says love is a noun and a verb! There we go, a verb is a word that describes action.
Yadda, yadda, yadda, what's the point to all of this? Well, I have always been a Christian, so hearing a scripture from the bible is common. But I've found that what else is common that when you hear or experience something in life, you compare it to what you've heard, read, learned from the bible. So in the bible Jesus was asked "whats the greatest commandment?" I guess these guys who hung out with him wanted to know which of the 10 commandments was top so they could really work on thou shalt not steal or kill or something, but instead he said “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"
We all want to feel love, that's all we're searching for. It's what drives the world. So we ask that question, we want to actually do what we love, love somebody and be loved. Love is a verb. The meaning of life (noun, adjective) can be answered with the word Love. You don't have to look far for the meaning of the word love. You can feel it in everything.
If we stop and take a moment to love, love yourself, love everyone around you, love the One Who created you, you'll feel and find the meaning of life.
